Vehicle Description 1963 Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside Pickup for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to present this rare 1963 Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside Pickup featured in Desert Beige with a Cameo White beltline accent.
The unique Corvair 95 Rampside Pickup truck was the result of Chevrolet's platform-sharing experiment.
Following the success of the Volkswagen Van/Bus/Bully/Kombi, General Motors built a van and pickup truck based on the Chevrolet Corvair.
The Chevrolet Corvair was a rear engine, air-cooled, six-cylinder sedan, coupe and convertible that had a platform that allowed the GM designers to come up with several variants.
Power is provided by a flat-6, 95 HP air-cooled engine, and our truck has the optional Powerglide automatic transmission.
The Corvair 95 pickup truck was available as the Loadside, a conventional, 105-inch (by 45-inch) pickup truck bed with rear tailgate, or the Rampside, which added a passenger-side ramp that was placed just aft of the cab.
Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside and Loadside Pickups are rare today and are well regarded among collectors.
Finding either Chevrolet Corvair 95 Pickup trucks unmolested is a difficult task as many were modified or rusted away.
Our truck has never been rusted or modified, and it benefits from an older complete restoration that places it, still, among the best surviving examples of this very rare Corvair variant.
It is highly-specced from new with chrome bumpers and trim and has period-appropriate white sidewall tires and chrome wire wheel covers.
It has west coast mirrors, OEM bow-tie AM radio, and two-tone cab with carpeting.
This truck looks, runs, and drives well, and it will be a tremendous attention-getter wherever it is shown.
