Vehicle Description 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230SL for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this sporty 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Roadster.
Featured in Burgundy with matching Burgundy hardtop, Tan interior and Tan soft top, this is one of the nicest driving Pagoda Mercedes that we have had the opportunity to offer.
The 230SL was the first of the R113 series that became known as Pagodas because of the dip in the height of the hardtop between two prominent ridges.
This 2-owner car was owned for more than 24 years by its first owner! The car was repainted in Burgundy (from the original White).
The interior is original.
The engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago, the automatic transmission about 4 years ago.
The rear end was re-sealed at the same time.
The car has been fitted with an aftermarket Nardi wood-rim steering wheel and a Sony AM/FM/CD radio.
It is otherwise stock.
The car has great eye-appeal as you can see in our photos.
I would characterize it as a very nice driver, perhaps a solid #3 condition.
It has no needs and will deliver lots of miles of driving pleasure.
These R113 models are known for their mechanical and structural integrity.
The style is iconic.
This is a perfect entry-level Mercedes collectible or reliable addition to a summer home fleet.
