Vehicle Description 1930 Ford Model A Street Rod for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this 1930 Ford Model A Street Rod featured in two-tone black over what could best be described as Harley-Davidson red.
This handsome rod is built on Ford's #170-B Fordor Deluxe body by Briggs with a full vinyl-covered roof as noted in Model A catalogs as the Leatherback body.
This is a 4-window sedan as compared to the more common 6-window sedan.
The roof incorporates a custom glass Moonroof which was, in its original application, an opening roof.
But in this application it has not been wired to operate, leaving a clear roof window in place.
The car is reported to have been built in California and covered only about 2,000 miles since it was completed.
The car has a period-correct trunk rack, and trunk, into which the battery has been relocated.
Additional features on the exterior include a Flying Quail radiator ornament and chrome grill stone guard.
This is a very practical and user-friendly street rod powered by a Ford 302CI V8 mated to a Ford C4 automatic transmission with a 9 positraction rear.
There are disc brakes up front, and drums in the rear.
There are gleaming chrome wire wheels all around with Ford logo center caps and near new Goodyear tires.
Further upgrades include rack amp; pinion steering and new dual exhaust.
The interior features black vinyl with grey cloth insets, with bucket seats up front.
Red seat belts match the exterior color.
The custom wood dash includes VDO gauges, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with Pioneer speakers, and a button for the attention-getting Ah-Oogah horn.
The car is an older build, so there are a few chips in the paint and other patina, but the car has a really nice look and offers a great deal of fun for your friends and family.
It will attract a great deal of attention at shows and cruise nights, and represents a great value in an iconic Model A rod.
