About the Global Scientific Affairs Manager role within ICON: The Global Scientific Affairs Manager will be responsible for leading the Global Scientific Affairs (SA) Team by helping set priorities, proper delegation and oversight of the team members' responsibilities to ensure the consistency/accuracy of the department's deliverables. This person will be responsible for providing solutions to both internal and external customers throughout the life-cycle of clinical studies; from providing business development support, activities around project awards and supporting operations. This person will guide the team to work cross-functionally to facilitate strategic solutions that support the evolution of the laboratory testing menu and communication of scientific updates. The Global Scientific Affairs Manager will provide leadership and mentorship of the team by working on day to day activities; such as addressing queries, researching new tests/methods, and evolving the global laboratory testing capabilities. This manager will set staff's responsibilities and training goals and provide proper direction and delegation. The Global Scientific Affairs Manager will work to ensure that Scientific Affairs provides an accurate, valued and responsive service to both internal and external customers. The Global Scientific Affairs Manager will ensure all Global SA processes are documented through Working Practice Guidelines, Process Flows and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in deliverables across the Global SA Team.  The manager will conduct SA staff and represent the Global Scientific Affairs Team at Cross Functional meetings and to management. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
