Supply Chain Manager

Position Description At a Glance   Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the Legrand Data Communications Division Team in Farmingdale, NY.  The Supply Chain Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations and will be responsible for developing and managing a master production plan to effectively satisfy customer demand with manufacturing capacity.  The Master Scheduler will provide internal reporting to determine multi-plant capacity.  The Master Scheduler will use sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations and demand, and supply chain constraints to develop the masterschedule throughout the business unit including considering outsourcing production of finished goods or sub-assemblies.   What Will You Do? Establish and manage a master production plan for desginated made-to-stock (MTS) and made-to-order (MTO) products. Utilize existing production planning tools and create new tools as needed to plan production (capacity) taking into account sales forecasts, historical sales, inventory, supply chain, and new business opportunities.  Use capacity planning tools to make necessary recommendations to the Production Managers, Operations Directors, and other functional areas to ensure finished goods are produced on-time and within established lead times. Recommendations may include outsourcing manufacturing to qualified vendors. Monitor and execute to the production plan with the on-site planners and manufacutring managers to ensure work orders are created and completed according to established lead times. Acts as the liaison between Marketing, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to make delivery commitments. Report on a regular basis the adherence to the master production schedule and report any deviations that may result in delay in service to customer. Acts as the initial contact for Customer Service inquiries. Take an integral role in the S&OP meetings to review service and performance levels, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Monitor actual output versus master production plan. Identify gaps and drive mutually beneficial solutions between the various plants, including measuring success of such initiatives.  Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure production schedule is being met. Manage orders for non-stocked items, schedule attainment, customer returned items, scrapped items, inventory plan performance, and fill rate compliance. Perform other similar and related duties as required. Qualifications     Basic Qualfications: Minimum of five years of experience in a multi-site manufacturing operation with at least two years of experience in supply chain management.   Preferred Qualifications: BS in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related Capacity Management experiencepreferred. Engineer to Order/Configure to Order business experience APICS certification of CPIM and/or CSCP certification is desired. Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities. Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently. Strong computer skills and be proficient using Excel.  Ability to use Word, PowerPoint or other presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.  Must be familiar with ERP, DRP, MRP, MRPII, or another formal computerized inventory system.  Use of Access, Crystal Reports, SAP or other formal data retrieval and report writing is a plus. Highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.  Able to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence. Solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
