Administrator (Purchasing)

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative person to train or enhance their career as a Purchasing Administrator. Duties include performing a variety of complex administration duties related to purchasing and expediting activities to support the Purchasing Team. Daily activities include a full range of general administration tasks including orders maintenance, filing, typing and computer entries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Typing Purchase Order entries
Retrieving data processing information
Filing and maintaining Purchase Orders
Closeout and purging Purchase Order data entries
Maintaining vendor procedure databases
Sending annual mailings
Sorting and filing departmental documents
Posting information as applicable to department personnel
Full range of general administrative duties
Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Expediting Purchase Orders
Making telephone contacts with applicable suppliers
Processing and distributing incoming mail to proper departmental personnel
Placing Purchase Orders for MRO supplies
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Organized person with strong skills in data entry
Friendly and persuasive telephone manner
Ability to work individually with often limited guidance to resolve queries and complete tasks
Deadline driven and constantly striving to exceed job expectations
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in clerical / office administration / purchasing administration or clerk position
A college graduate (or equivalent) in business administration field or advanced general office training (desirable)
Strong MS Office skills including Excel

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
