Primary Focus:
Metro Environmental Services (MES) is seeking an Estimating Manager to oversee and manage the estimating team and all of its functions.
The Estimating Manager will prepare estimates for the Construction division on fuel facility focused projects and will also be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the estimating department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Estimating Manager is responsible for overseeing the estimating process and estimating team.
Delegates and assigns projects to the estimating team.
Prepares detailed estimates and bids for construction focused projects.
Oversees all pending bids and assures that they are being submitted thoroughly, completely, and on time.
Organize regular estimating meetings to review open bid opportunity's and review the status with team.
Serves as sales contact for select customers and clients served by MES.
Enhance the tracking system to enable proper follow up on proposals, win ratios, performance by divisions, estimator, and by geographic region.
Performs site visits, bid walks, and attends pre-bid conferences as needed to determine site constraints, logistics, etc.
Obtains prices from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment and services.
Coordinate Estimator to PM download meetings Directs and oversees all operations of the company's estimating proposal writing function.
Contacts clients, customers and government representatives to discuss items relevant to the proposed work.
Follows up with telephone calls to customers and clients to inquire about estimates that were previously sent.
Coordinates with Corporate Manager on profitability that should be applied.
Increase our bidding efficiency in both percentage of profitability and percentage of jobs won.
Provides technical information for updating and editing the estimating database.
Develops policies and procedures related to the bidding process.
Prepares written correspondence and technical reports as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of estimating experience in the construction, environmental, or similar industry Must be detail oriented while also have the ability to work quickly and efficiently Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000 Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of excel Knowledge of Cost Estimating Software is preferred Ability to read plans and other project documents Job Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
